Ms. Mullen is the co-founder and President Sacred 7 Rainforests + Oceans International. She is 
responsible for establishing and managing the corporate infrastructure, executing financial strategies, and keeping development and program objectives moving forward in a timely manner. Ms. Mullen has held senior level positions including Chief Operating Officer at Santosha Development and Vice President of Investor Relations for Countrywide Financial Corporation. Ms. Mullen started her professional career at Wells Fargo Bank, where she worked for approximately 10 years.  Mrs. Mullen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Urban Studies and Environmental Planning and Economics from the University of California, San Diego
Joseph Trentacosta, Treasurer

Mr. Trentacosta oversees the financial governance of the organization and is involved in overseeing transactions both domestically and abroad.  Mr. Trentacosta is a CPA and has held many Chief Financial Officer Positions for public and private companies over his 40 year career.  He is a certified forensic auditor and provides financial services for judicial hearings and analysis. His duties at Sacred 7 include managing the day-to-day financial business of the organization, including record-keeping, accounting and reporting, attending Board meetings and voting on board decisions.  Mr. Trentacosta will also be involved in charitable fundraising. 

Mitch Fairfield, Director

Mr. Fairfield has a diverse professional background, blending experience in business development with events management at the Olympic Games in Atlanta and Sydney, commercial real estate brokerage, and international real estate development and marketing. As a native Californian who spent many years living in Costa Rica as a youth, and now lives in Charleston, South Carolina, Mr. Fairfield has always had an innate and deep appreciation of the delicate relationship that our civilization has with our oceans. He earned a Master of Business Administration in International Business from the Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Emory University. Mitchell is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.

Mr. Mullen has consolidated his career experiences as a musician, developer and entrepreneur to help lead Sacred 7 Rainforests + Oceans International contributions for humanity. Mr. Mullen has a proven record for creating shareholder value and improving margins and multiples. He is a high-performance chief executive officer with a consistent record of increasing sales through product development and management, profit and loss analysis and strategic implementation of business operations. His expertise in conquering obstacles and capturing opportunities, creating and implementing savvy marketing strategies and managing complex business relationships helps drive high level donors to the organization.

Ron Hahn, Advisor to the Board of Directors

Best known for developing Horton Plaza, Fashion Valley Mall and University Towne Center, real estate developer, Mr. Ron Hahn is an Advisor to the Sacred 7 Board of Directors.  In 1991, after his son, Ernie graduated from college; Mr. Hahn bought the San Diego Sports Arena and continues to be involved in the re-development and sustainability of San Diego.  He understands that protection of the rainforest and oceans throughout the world directly impact San Diego and helps Sacred 7 to communicate this to the local community.

Tomas Guardia, Director

Mr. Guardia is a Partner in the Costa Rica-based law firm of Facio & Cañas.  He provides direction on Sacred 7  land acquisition and title, as well as compliance with the country’s applicable laws for foreign-owned business operations and taxation.  Facio & Cañas was founded in 1942 by a group of attorneys who shared a deep commitment to high ethical standards and quality professional services.  Today, it is one of Latin America’s most prestigious firms, with over sixty years of in-depth professional experience, with special expertise in business law and international commerce.  Mr. Guardia is a graduate of Cornell University Law School (1998). Mr. Guardia is bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish.

Natalia Zamora, Director
Ms. Zamora is currently the Director de Gestion Empresarial for the National Biodiversity Institute of Costa Rica.  Her career at Costa Rica´s National Biodiversity Institute (INBio), started in 1995. She was appointed by the Ministry of Costa Rica in 2008 to the Santosha Foundation in 2008.   She is a Doctorate Candidate in Environmental Education at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Spain and holds a Masters degree in Environmental Education and Communication from the College of Forestry, Wildlife and Range Sciences at the University of Idaho, USA, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Collective Communication Sciences from the University of Costa Rica. Her working experience ranges from areas such as education, public involvement, management and product development to communications and international consulting.  She also has the experience in training teachers in environmental education methods. Ms. Zamora has worked as an International Project advisor and consultant for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), United Nations Office of Programme Services (UNOPS), the Norwegian Nature Research Institute, USAID and World Bank among others. 

Kattia Chavarria Reyes, Director

Ms. Chavarria Reyes is a Director de Municipal of Golfito.  She was also appointed by the Ministry of Costa Rica in 2008 to the Santosha Foundation in 2008.  She was appointed because a number of Sacred 7 programs take place in and around the Municipality of Golfito.
